At around 11:30 am on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 a fiber network controller card on one of the agencies main storage devices failed. The back to this card had been damaged due to the Hale Library outage a few weeks ago and replaced just last week. However, it appears that the primary card was also damaged during the outage and will need to be replaced in the next few days.

We are working to schedule a replacement installation for this card in the next few days. This replacement will not impact KDA during business hours. Please check back on the KDA IT Status Page for the latest information on all KDA IT Services and Applications.

5/30/2018 - KDA Data Center Update

Thank you for your patience as we continue to wait for power to be restored to our data center. Services and applications are still down today. K-State plans to start turning up the data center tomorrow once power is restored. They will then power up servers and applications gradually. Until we have tested them, it still won’t be business as usual.

[KDA IT] IT Services Outage - Day 2

Good morning KDA,

 

The latest on the situation at the Data Center is not that different from yesterday. Everything that was down yesterday is still down today with one exception – KDA Guest wireless is working in the Manhattan office. KDA Staff wireless is still down.

 

KSU was given access to the building last night and they have begun the assessment and cleanup process.

 

We fully expect everything to be down all day until we hear something different.

Wired Internet access in Manhattan is working but WiFi access is down. This includes both KDA Staff and KDA Guest.
